Nestled in the tranquil backwaters of Kumarakom, in Kerala’s Kottayam district, Lakesong Resort by Eastend Hospitality is a perfect blend of tradition and luxury. This 4-star property is conveniently located just 12 kilometers from Kottayam town and offers a serene escape with its stunning surroundings and thoughtfully curated amenities.
Traditional Charm Meets Modern Comfort
The resort’s architecture reflects the traditional Malabar style, incorporating earthy tones, wooden elements, and a design that harmonizes with nature. Behind the resort lies the vast and tranquil Vembanad Lake, offering breathtaking views and serene vibes. The reception area welcomes guests with its inviting ambiance, complete with a guest lounge and a charming curio shop.
Comfortable Accommodations
Lakesong Resort offers three types of accommodations: Punnamada, Ashtamudi, and Vembanad. Each room and villa is thoughtfully designed with modern amenities. My family and I stayed in an Ashtamudi block, which features four spacious rooms on two floors.
Our room combined traditional charm with modern convenience, featuring antique furniture, warm ambient lighting, centralized air conditioning, and essential amenities like bottled water, tea and coffee supplies, an electric kettle, toiletries, and a private bathroom with 24-hour hot and cold water.
Behind our room, bamboo chairs offered a serene spot to relax and enjoy the views of the canals running through the property. Experiencing the rain at night added a magical touch, giving us a delightful taste of Kerala’s monsoon tourism.
